You are not supposed to make a choice for the employees as a manager. For the employees to feel really empowered, they will need to have the ability to participate in the process of decision making fully. At any given time, the manager should act as a guide in assisting the employees to make their choices in decision making.
Introduce emails, in-trays, files and folders for the employees. Small things like employees having their own corporation emails address can surely have a significant effect on the way they view and think about their work. Every manager has items like in-trays, folders and personal computer files registered in their names; then why shouldn’t the employees possess the same? Studies have shown that incorporating these suggestions can enhance employee ownership an, in the end, result in empowerment appreciably.
Employees are supposed to be given projects to work on by their managers.
